Writing: Facilitated by Mary and Tom writing will be a common thread throughout the Workshop with time set aside to share work including nature writing, poetry, and memoir.   Everyone will receive a Spirit Lab Journal to fill with illustrations, observations, and found treasures from bird feathers to brilliant fall leaves.

Explorations in Spiritual Ecology:  Tom Goldsmith will facilitate evening explorations into Spiritual Ecology, a study that lends itself to living more sensitively in our natural surrounding. It borrows from Tillich's view of spirituality as "depth dimension," unrelated to the religious. It means consciously opening ourselves to the experience of the profound through nature. We will examine Thoreau's masterpiece, "Walden” and its message for our time. It's not an escape into the woods, but an accounting of how we spend our lives
